A desire to fill the African street food gap in Melbourne drove Ugandan-born Dennis Grace to start Afrofeast.
Serving up exotic African cuisine, Afrofeast is proud to be both delicious and healthy.
“Our bunny chow is a best seller! It’s South African lamb curry served in hollowed out bread, and we always sell out in festivals.”
“Our Ethiopian lentils are also popular, particularly with vegetarians.”
“We are very friendly and love to chat with our clients who tell us stories about their African adventures.”
With an academic background in business studies and a tough but enjoyable life spent on the streets, Dennis thought the food truck concept was a great fit.
“Growing up in the streets of Kampala our breakfast started quite early after a long and cold night out. We would congregate at a popular market; I loved African tea and matooke (cooked bananas) served with byenda (cow offals). Delicious!”
