Brazilian Street Food
When Aldo da Silva moved to Australia a couple of years ago, he wanted to bring a “little piece of home” with him.
“Brazilian Bites isn't what you get in the restaurants in Brazil, it's real street food. It’s what they sell on every street corner in my town and across the country.”
After growing up working in his dad’s butcher in Brazil, Aldo has Brazilian BBQ running in his blood.
“The initial idea was to set up just like they do on every street corner in Brazil, with a hand-made BBQ and an Esky full of meat skewers. Then, along the way, that little idea became this colourful, gigantic truck!”
Aldo and his wife Lea have spent a lot of time developing a seasoning that helps them bring a little piece of Brazil to their customers.
“People love our skewers! We use a very particular high-quality cut of beef that is a staple at home. It’s incredibly tender, yet it’s not often used here.”
“We also have out cheese balls, which our customers have nicknamed amaze-balls!”
Since being featured on Channel 10’s The Living Room, Aldo and Lea have been in high demand.
“We have people from all over stopping in the most random places to just take photos of us and the truck!”
“Best of all, people go out of their way to come and find us, which really makes us feel like we are doing something right!”
