Nem N' Nem
Vietnamese Hawker Kitchen
A passion for cooking combined with a rich Vietnamese heritage were the perfect ingredients to create the family-run Nem N’ Nem food truck.
Brother and sister team Ken and Kathy have been bringing the taste of Vietnamese street food to Melbournian foodie lovers since 2014.
They pride themselves on creating traditional dishes inspired by the narrow alleys and tree-lined boulevards of Hanoi where they grew up.
“We are very keen to add more diversity to the food truck scene in Melbourne.”
“Our Banhmi always goes fast, and in summer people love to enjoy a fresh bowl of Bun Thit Nuong, which is vermicelli rice noodle salad with spice, fresh herbs and tasty nuoc cham.”
They love being part of the food truck scene, even though it comes with some struggles.
“Many people can’t say Nem N’ Nem correctly the first time. Just listening to people have a go makes us laugh; not sure if this is a bad thing or good thing for our branding!”
“Running a food truck is fun. No day at work is the same and we meet new people almost every day.”
“As a family, we grow better and stronger each day at work.”
